Podcast 2011 summary

2011 was a great start for the podcast.
The highest position it reached in the episode chart on iTunes was November’s which reached 28.
The best chart position which the series reached was 22 at the beginning of December.
The podcast spent 3 months in the New and Noteworthy section of iTunes.
Although it is no longer featured in New and Noteworthy it is currently listed in the What’s Hot section.

Thanks to everyone who has supported and downloaded the podcast so far – hopefully the best is yet to come :-)

Podcast out of bandwidth!

Sorry to anyone who is having problems downloading the podcast at the moment. I’ve run out of bandwidth with my host, it’ll be reset in 4 days from now so hold tight…. :-(

Just logged on to iTunes

Still going strong! :-)

Latest podcast chart position

The ProgressiveBeats podcast is starting to fall down the chart with the October and September editions at numbers 115 and 119 respectively , they’re in good company though :-)

Podcast iTunes Chart Progress

The ProgressiveBeats podcast is continuing to grow in popularity :-)

I’m checking the iTunes charts daily (trying not to do it more frequently than that!) and so far, the highest the October podcast has climbed is number 38 in the Music podcast chart.
In the 10 days since it’s been released, the October podcast has had 550 downloads, the September podcast has had 543 in total.

The podcast series is hovering around the top 100 mark, the highest I’ve seen it is 85.

I’m absolutely delighted with all of this, especially as this is only the 2nd podcast episode so far! Thanks to everyone who downloaded it so far, if you liked what you heard be sure to share it with your friends :-D

Above & Beyond release mini-mix of Anjunabeats Volume 9

Above & Beyond have released a mini-mix of their forthcoming sure-to-be-hit Anjunabeats Volume 9.
You can listen to it here via mixcloud:

It’s not exactly a seamless mix – just little chunks of some of the tunes which will be on the album, but it’ll give you a good flavour of what to expect.

ProgressiveBeats Podcast featured on iTunes “New and Noteworthy”

I’d noticed that the bandwidth for my podcast was being rapidly used up over the last week, and I was wondering why the number of downloads was suddenly rocketing…. So, after trawling the web a bit this morning I happened to look at iTunes and much to my amazement the ProgressiveBeats Podcast is featured in the “New and Noteworthy” section (they don’t send you an email or anything to tell you), one of only 20 music podcasts listed there at the moment! That’s incredible :-), no wonder its using over 2Gig of bandwith per day!!

Thanks to everyone who has downloaded it so far. I’m working on another episode at the moment and I’ll be updating this site with lots of lovely content over the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

Some commentators have noted the recent reliance on certain “key artists” such as Mat Zo and Oliver Smith of late, and they have certainly contributed heavily to the tracks on this release. However Anjunabeats seldom disappoint and I’m sure Volume 9 will be another resounding success.
